Missy Henriksen: Hi! I am Missy Henriksen, Vice President of public affairs for the National Pest Management Association, also known as NPMA. Today I'll be discussing why you should hire a pest professional, the types of pest problems that require professional expertise, and the best tips to select a pest professional with whom to partner. As we begin, it's important to keep in mind that pest management is truly a safety decision. This video series will provide you with information on how and when to seek professional pest management services. Services that can ultimately help you to prevent serious illness and serious damage to what you value most, your home and your family. Before we begin, let me tell you a little bit about the NPMA. NPMA is a national, non-profit organization located in Fairfax, VA, USA with more than 6000 members nationwide. It was established in 1933 to support the pest management industry's commitment to the protection of public health, food and property whether through preventive or reactive measures.
