Transcripts
Ronnie Mervis: Hi! This is Ronnie Mervis from Mervis Diamond Importers and we're continuing with the smaller section of the wedding bands and this is what we called anniversary bands. Like the name implies, it's generally a gift to celebrate an anniversary. Anniversary is said to come at any time. The most important ones are 5-years, 10-years, 15, 20, 25 and so on, but you don't have to wait until that point and time for the anniversary band.
The most common anniversary band is a five stone or a seven stone band with the diamonds running over the top of the finger. You can go more and you can go all the way around and if you go all the way around, they're generally called an eternity band. This is loose usage of the words. Anniversary band or eternity band is really the same thing.
The anniversary band does not need to match the engagement ring or the wedding band. Do whatever you like. Again, no rules. You can wear it on the same finger, the fourth finger of the left hand or you can wear it in the fourth finger of the right hand. It does not denote divorce, bad word, we shouldn't use that word, but just because it's worn in the right hand, it doesn't mean that at all. Because in any event, you are still wearing your engagement ring and your wedding ring on the left hand. So the anniversary band is really a nice opportunity just to add a little bit more diamonds to the presence. Many men like to give their wives the anniversary band as to tell her, I would marry you all over again. It's a great compliment and it's a lovely gift to wear. The choices are enormous. You can get your anniversary band in gold, yellow or white or in platinum with or without diamonds, but mostly the anniversary band includes diamonds. Five is the number but it can go to seven or nine. However, if it's a choice of more diamonds smaller or less diamonds which are bigger, always go for fewer diamonds which are larger in size because that makes a bigger impact than more diamonds which are lesser in size.
Generally, I know from experience the lady who is receiving the anniversary band is never present. So it's just a surprise from a very grateful husband. So gentleman, we look forward to meeting you. I've to help you with the choice of your anniversary band and if for any reason it's not exactly what she wants, we're here, we'll take it back, exchange it, return it or whatever you want. Well, that's it for anniversary bands. We hope you're going to be married an awful long time. Remember, you'd love to marry her all over again and this is your way of telling her. Thank you.
