Annette Joseph: Hi! I am Annette Joseph, and I am a food and prop stylist. And today, I am going to show you how to create a beautiful holiday party on a budget. With the holidays upon us, I know you all want to entertain your friends and your family, and your concern that it might cost a lot. But I have some great tips to show you how to make a cost effective, functional, beautiful, and most of all lots of fun. I'm going to show you how to put together a self-serve bar, that's easy for you to do and very easy for your guest to use. I'll be giving you some insider tips on how to plan your holiday menu. We are also going to go over some really simple recipes. We are going to talk a little bit about store bought items and how to display them in a manner that they look enticing to your guests.
I am going to show you how to setup a beautiful and creative buffet table. We'll go through all the tools you need as we go through the video. You will be supplied a grocery list and list of ingredients for each recipe that I will prepare today.
I want to go over a couple of safety tips, make sure all your candles are in glass containers. We're working a lot with paper and we don't want to set our buffet on fire. Also just be very careful in the kitchen when working with very hot food items, we'll be working with syrup today. So you have to be very mindful and focussed when you are working with syrup.
Before we get started let me tell you a little bit about myself. I have been a food prop stylist for over 20 years. I work with food everyday and I work for national magazines behind-the-scenes and also I do a lot of advertising campaigns as well. So I know lots and lots of tricks that I am going to share with you.
So buckle up and get ready, because we are going to learn a lot about how to throw a really great party and I guarantee you that you're going to have a really good time at your own party, if you do it this way.
