Bob Kiebler: Hi I'm Bob Kiebler, chef with Morton's, The Steakhouse. Today I'm going to show you how to prepare your grill for winter and clean it. Now, first of all when you clean the grill, it's easy to clean when warm but it's much safer to clean when it's cold. You take a wire brush. Scrape the racks down. Remove the racks using a puddy knife or whatever you are comfortable with. Remove any of the loose food that you can scrape up from your grill. And wipe the whole grill down. Now, it must be dry for winter times so it doesn't rust. What you need to do is make sure your gas is turned off, unscrew the regulator valve, take the tank off, store it in a safe place, store it outside so you don't have any explosions. And cover your grill with a good quality grill cover. That's to keep it safe through out the winter.
