Spring Cleaning - Keep Your Home Looking Its Best
Christine Maroulis with Merry Maids discusses some do's and don'ts to help keep your home looking its best.
Transcripts
Christine: Hi! I am Christine from Merry Maids and today I am offering tips on spring cleaning. We will discuss some do's and don'ts to help keep your home looking its best. First, never spray a cleaning product on a television screen. Ideally, just use a microfiber cleaning cloth that is free of product. If necessary, get it wet and ring it out completely. Also, never spray glass cleaner on picture frames, it can seep underneath the glass and ruin photographs. Spray your cleaning cloth and then use it to clean the glass. Also, be sure to put strong doormat outside and inside the entries to your home. These will capture a great deal of the dust and dirt being tracked in your home. The less you wear your shoes in the house, the better your floors and carpets will hold up, at shoes track in little pieces of dust and dirt, that become embedded in carpet and can scratch hardwood surface floors. Also, remove cobwebs by using a slightly damp microfiber cleaning cloth, rubberbanded over the bristles of a broom. Next, use the brush attachment on your vacuum to clean books, lampshades, and other objects. Also, wearing an apron while you clean will allow you to carry cleaning cloths and other small tools. Now that we have discussed some do's and don'ts of cleaning, I will share some quarterly tasks that you will want to include in your spring cleaning routine.
