Christine: Hi! I am Christine with Merry Maids. Today I will be teaching you how to clean your home. There are some tasks that only need to be completed occasionally, depending on how your home is lived in, with lots of pests or dust, they may need to be done more frequently. But there are some tasks that only need to be completed quarterly, some even only once or twice a year. First, let's look at those tasks that should be done at least four times a year. You will want to dust your blinds. Be sure to pick a product safe for wood or painted wood, a product specifically designed for the surface you are cleaning. You will also want to wash the non-sheet bedding, items like comforters, shams, and bed skirts, and you will also want to vacuum air conditioning and refrigerator vents.

The following tasks need to be addressed once or twice a year, depending on how lived in a home is. You will want to vacuum and flip all of the mattresses and all of the bedrooms to help prolong its life. You will want to shampoo carpets and rugs. Wash the inside and outside of your windows. Clean the refrigerator and freezer. Clean the oven. You will want to wash those blinds and clean out closets and the pantry. Performing these tasks quarterly and annually will help you maintain and keep a clean home.

Next, we will discuss tips on how to make the cleaning process a bit easier.
