Christine: Hi! I am Christine from Merry Maids and today we're discussing how to select the cleaning service. Right now, let's discuss selecting a green cleaning service. First, what makes a cleaning service green? Find out, if the products used by the companies are certified green by an outside group or organization.
Next, you will want to ask about the equipment. Ask if the vacuum has been green label certified by the Carpet and Rug Institute. The company should use refillable bottles and recycle those bottles when they can no longer be used.
And ask how the product is shipped to the office. Does the company buy its product in concentrate form and then water to them locally? The less liquid that is being shipped, the less green house gas is emitted through the shipping process.
And finally, be sure that the office is using cleaning clothes that can be washed and reused rather than paper products for cleaning. Since there is no organization that certifies a cleaning service as green, these are awesome questions you would want to keep in mind when making your decision.
I hope, all of these steps have been helpful and you are able to make the right decision when choosing your cleaning service. Good luck!
