Patrick Harders: Hi! I am Patrick Harders with Outdoor Lighting Perspectives. Today, we are discussing outdoor lighting, and now I want to show you how to install a Path Light.

We have already run our wire to the position that we want to have this Path Light. We are going to take our post-hole diggers, if we don't have post-hole diggers, a small shovel spade, or even a hand shovel work. We want to dig a hole about 11 inches deep.

So this is a point where we want to have the Path Light. Here is the wire that we have already run. Once we have this hole dug, we are going to place our fixture. Now, I always like to take a level once we are all done with everything to make sure we get everything perfectly level in here, but we are going to take our quick connect and connect it around the wire here. Hide the wire and the connection in the hole you have just dug and now we want to pack this tight to make sure that this fixture never moves.

You do have the option also, I am putting a little concrete around it if you want it to keep that perfectly straight year-after-year which is something we do a lot in the professional business. We are going to take the mulch, once we get it perfect, it's ready to go.
