Bean in Freeport, Maine.
Today, I am going to be talking with you about a variety of topics related to family camping.
We are going to cover such issues as why you should go camping together as a family, the gear you are going to need, the tents, sleeping bags, pads, and other equipment.
We are also going to show you how to set up your campsite, what kinds of activities you can do while you're there, and then we are going to talk about leave no trace principles.
There are a lot of wonderful things about camping together as a family. First of all, it's very easy to do, anyone can do it. Also it's a very economical alternative to other more expensive vacations.
You get to spend a lot of good quality time together as a family, doing something that's fun, active and healthy and you get to enjoy the outdoors. You may even find new interests as you go together. Well, we'll get into more detail on those a little later on.
Before we get started, I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I have been camping here in Maine for over 20 years. And I've been working at L.
