Tom Antion: Hi! I am Tom Antion I am here to share with you some tips on how to become an exciting speaker. The first thing I want to tell you about is you can't always depend on your visuals. You've got to be exciting just by yourself. Some other things I want to tell you about are the Top 10 ways to get paid to speak. Did you realize that you can get a lot of money for standing up here and giving good information to people? Then there are a lot of presentation skills tips and things that professional speakers know that will make you really great on stage and you'll get super evaluations.
Then don't forget, you've got to have an entertainment value every time you speak. So I am going to give you some tips on how to use humor. Today's audiences don't want to just see there and be lectured to. They want to be involved. So, I am going to give you some great tips on how to get them involved in your presentation. Next, we'll talk about seating. It took me 1500 presentations to learn how seating affects the presentation. I am going to show you those tips today. Then, heirloom handouts. Oh Boy! If you create a handout that people can't throw away, your name is going to be in front of them forever. Before we get started let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a veteran of over 3000 paid speaking engagements around the world; I really don't know how many free ones. I've also trained professional speakers for 15 years. I've seen a lot of great presentations and I've seen a lot of bombs. I'll tell you what; I'm never going to let that happen to you.
