Amy Willbanks: Hi! My name is Amy Willbanks. I am the Lotion Account Sales Manager at Master Tanning.
Today, I am here to talk to you about, how to get a great tan indoors. Now, we are going to talk about how to tan safely.
First, we are going to discuss the medication list. You can find it post on the wall of your local tanning salon or you can purchase one for your home tanning use.
The medication list is highly important. It does contain medications that are UV light sensitive. When I say UV light sensitivity, I mean they can cause you to overexpose or to have an allergic reaction to the tanning bed.
You want to consult your physician before tanning if you are on any medications. You also want to read the warning label on your tanning bed. The warning label on your tanning bed gives a lot of key points on how to prevent from overexposure.
There is also a tanning time chart on your tanning bed. You want to follow the chart because the chart is meant to keep you from overexposing.
You also want to remember to wear protective eyewear. Protective eyewear is very important due to the fact that the UV light can cause you to go blind or burn your retinas or corneas.
Eyewear does come in a variety of different styles and shapes to protect your eyes. For those of you who are like me, who don't like getting raccoon eyes or the lines on your face, they do make several different types of eyewear now that help prevent that. But you always want to remember to wear your protective eyewear.
So these tips will help you get a great tan safely.
