Hi I'm Lisa Wilson Certified Health Counselor in Northern Virginia. We are talking about baby food, homemade organic baby food. We are going to talk a little bit about how to store some of these gorgeous baby foods that we have been making today. So the first thing I have is a sweet potato and a chicken puree with a little bit of thyme and second one is just a chicken puree. Now when babies are little younger they are going to eat, of course, be eating smaller quantity. Theyll let you know when they are hungry or when they are ready for more. So I am just going to go ahead and open these up. I found these great little containers, I see them on lot of different places, even my Hardware Store have these. So you can go ahead and just -- okay, what you want to do is just go ahead and scoop this right in, right into your container. Its going to be about ice cube size amount, maybe even size of two ice cubes, we might be able to get three in this one, which is great as your baby grows, because you want to be able to just go ahead and thaw out an entire meal. Okay, so scoop it right in there into stainless steel containers and also over here I have some glass containers. Look at those, look at that. I say weve got at least three ice cubes in there, which is perfect for this age, aged twelve months. So youre just going to go ahead, put the lid down, fill it up and into the refrigerator or freezer it goes. Isnt that great? Okay, this one what we are going to do, let me go ahead and rinse my spatula, so we are not putting any sweet potatoes with our chicken up here, the chicken that we have here. So again, we got a little bottle and this one is going to hold even more than the other one, but you want to take just kind of one serving size, so you can just go ahead and pop it into the refrigerator and pull it out when you need it. This mouth is little smaller. I do like this one because it holds more, and again, just you decide the quantity and I put it in it just like that. Perfect.

Ill go ahead and wipe that edge off, with a clean towel of course; just like that and into the refrigerator it goes. Nice and tight, good, perfect. If you want you can buy little labels, you can go ahead and label these, and put the date on it. Thats going to help you out. What you want to do is, you just go ahead, this will last in the refrigerator for about three days, some of this. In the freezer, if you freeze it what you want to do is, go ahead and take it out the nigh before. Now, when you are feeding the baby you dont have to go ahead and warm it up. I mean, you can just put a little glass, a little bowl full of warm water to bring the temperature up, but you dont have to warm these, okay? Eating warm food is something thats learned. So you can just serve it to them cold, right out of the refrigerator and its a delicious way to get. So these containers are fantastic, for convenience you can just pull them right out of the refrigerator or your freezer and your babys have meals in a snap.
