In this series of videos we'll show you the proper methodology for installing paving stones and the steps we're going to show you are apropos whether you're installing a walkway, a driveway, a pool deck, or a patio.

The steps we're going to cover are as follows; the planning of the job, the excavation of the soil, the base installation and compaction, sand screeding, placement of the paving stones, edge restraint installation, and finally the finishing touches necessary to complete your installation. You'll need some tools to finish your installation.

You'll need a tape measure, some gloves, some wooden stakes, shovel, a three-pound hammer, a carpenter's level, a line level, a carpenter's square, a string line, two large screwdrivers, a broom, a garden rake, a wheelbarrow, a pick, a marking crayon, two pieces of 1-inch diameter conduit pipe, and one piece of 2x4x8 kiln-dried lumber to use as a screed board.
