Suzanne Minskey: Hi! My name is Suzanne Minskey with Faces by Sam Makeup Artistry. And today I am going to be showing you a fall makeup look for your wedding. First we are going to start off with prepping the skin and doing the basic face. Now whether you have oily skin, or dry skin, to make sure that your makeup lasts all day, you want to apply a primer to the skin first. So you want to start in the center of the face. Apply just a tiny bit to the back of your hand and it goes on more smoothly with a foundation sponge or cosmetic wedge. And apply a little bit to the T-zone. This will help to control the sweat and the oil and give your skin a nice surface for the foundation to adhere to. It also helps minimize the appearance of the pores, so that you get a nice air brush effect. You don't need to apply it all the way out to the outer edges of the skin. Just a little bit in the T-zone and that's enough.

But you still want to make sure that you have a foundation that matches your skin tone exactly. To do so, you want to check it along the jaw line. Do a quick stripe here and make sure it blends from the face down into the neck. Next, you want to start at the center of the face and apply a bit of foundation to your T-zone, blending outwards with the foundation brush. Don't worry that it's not perfect; right now. We are going to dry brush it and give it that real air brush look in just a second.

First, you just want to apply it to the skin. Once you have got in mostly mapped out on the face with the foundation brush, then you go back in with the dry brush. I use a dome blush brush but you can also use a kabuki brush and you want to go over the surface of the skin in circular motions and really buff the foundation into the surface. We want to blend those layers of the primer and the foundation together.

This gives a nice air brush look to the skin. We will go back and apply a little bit more into the areas and just a little bit more coverage. Padding it in with the edge of the foundation brush and then if you have a thicker consistency foundation, or a foundation that says HD on it, those are little bit more pigmented than traditional foundations and work great as that one as a concealer.

And we can apply just a little bit to the surface of the eyelid to cancel out any extra color which you have there and that's how to apply the basic face and next we are going to discuss how to frame the eyes with your brows.
