Kevin Hinds: Hi! I am Kevin Hinds. I am a cross-country skiing and snowshoe instructor of L.
L. Bean here in Freeport, Maine.
Look at the white snow we got going on today. It's a perfect day for cross-country skiing. Cross-country skiing is such a great sport. It's good for the family, great exercise, low learning curve, and just accessible to just about anybody. It's so much fun and I am so glad you are here today.
Today, we are going to talk about a variety of things for cross-country skiing. First, the apparel on what you need to wear for the weather outside. Also, the skies boots, binding and poles, some extra gear you may bring along on your journey, and then we are going to go over some basic techniques for cross-country skiing.
Before we begin let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am Kevin Hinds and I am an instructor here at L.
