Transcripts
Gary Uhl: Hello my name is Gary Uhl from American Standard. Today I want to discuss the special features that you should consider when choosing a kitchen sink.
Sinks can be up to 9" deep that allows for nice straight sides and an even platform, that's important if you want to stack dishes and glasses in the bottom of the sink.
Another feature to look for is an offset drain, this is a drain located in a corner of the sink. What this does is it gives you more usable space and it allows water should still drain away even if there is a big pot right in the middle of the sink.
Many double-bowl sinks have a center divider that's slightly lower than the sides, this is a good feature, because it allows water to spill from one bowl over into the other in the case of an overflow. You use your kitchen sink everyday, special features like this can make any task easier.
