As it turns out, reviewers have some complaints about them, most importantly; a lot of reviewers complain that the controls on the Ford Escape are hard to figure out. They say that the center stack is a little bit too complicated and it's tough to figure out exactly what each button does.

Another downside of the Escape is that the base model isn't very well-equipped. You get air-conditioning, a single CD player, and an auxiliary input jack, but you really don't get much else. Now, in the base model, you can opt for some features like Ford's Sync System. The Sync System allows you to control things like the radio using just voice commands which keeps your eyes on the road. It's actually a pretty nice system.

If you upgrade to higher trims, you can get even more high-tech features like Ford's MyKey System. The MyKey System allows parents to set limits on the Escape, so when teens drive it, they aren't allowed to go over a certain speed and also the radio volume can be limited. It's a nice safety feature for new families.

Another really high-tech feature that you can get on the limited trim of the Escape is the Escape's self-parking feature. Basically, it's a system where you tell the Escape to park itself and it does. While reviewers have complained about similar systems from other car-makers, they say that the self-parking system on the Escape really works. So the bottom-line on the interior features for the Ford Escape is, while the base model isn't very well-equipped and some reviewers complain about the controls layout, if you option it right, you can actually get some very high-tech features.
