Jamie Page Deaton: Let's talk about how well the Infiniti FX handles passengers in car seats. We'll start here in the front with the driver's seat. Now most car reviewers say the front seats have plenty of space and are very supportive and comfortable. As you can see the driver's seat has nice sports bolstering, which will holds you in place when you're hidden and twist these really hard.

The seats are eight-way adjustable and even have lumbar support, and the steering wheel both tilts and telescopes. Most car reviewers don't like the back seat here in the FX. They complain about cramped legroom and headroom.

As you can see, I'm only 5'4" and I really don't have as much space as I would in other SUVs. So taller car reviewers really complain about it. There is space for three people back here but most reviewers say it's better suited for two. Entry and exit are also pretty difficult, because the FX has small doors and small door openings.

Since space is so tight, this isn't the best SUV for fitting car seats either. There are LATCH connectors for two car seats, but when the two car seats are in place, it really is cramped and there's not enough room for a third passenger.

So the bottom line on the FX's seating is that it's comfortable in the front seat but not so comfortable in the back. Because of the space issues, families may want to check out other midsize SUVs. More spacious rear seats can be found in the Cadillac SRX and the Lexus RX 350.
