Jamie Page Deaton: Now let's talk about how the Mercedes-Benz GLK handles passengers in car seats. We will start up here in the front. Most car reviewers say the front seats have plenty of room. As you can see I have got plenty of legroom and plenty of headroom. The standard upholstery is a vinyl material called MB Tex. Now, Mercedes-Benz says that feels like leather, grips better than leather, cleans up better than leather and wears better over time than leather does.

But, while it may feel like leather, a lot of car reviewers point out it doesn't feel like good leather. So if you want a more luxurious feel to the GLK, you will have to upgrade the leather and that will cost you about $1700 more than the base price. Still, you do get a standard power adjustable driver's seat and a standard adjustable steering wheel, which is nice.

So now you know that the front seats of the GLK are comfortable, here in the backseats reviewers aren't as happy. They say that the legroom is cramped, and as you can see it is pretty tight. On the plus side though, headroom is pretty good given that the GLK has a nice boxy look to it. Now there are two sets of latch connectors in the GLK. But, once you have two car seats in here, there is really not space for much else.

So the bottom-line on the seating in the GLK is, the front seats are comfortable, but the backseat is a little bit cramped.
