Tom Nardone: It's October, time to talk about pumpkins. First, I will give you a tip about picking a great pumpkin. Jack O' Lanterns are like caricatures of a human face. So try to pick a pumpkin that's at least as big as a human head, it will have more impact that way. Before you cut into your pumpkin, draw the face on it. I would like to use dry erase markers, that way you can sort of experiment with the design, and if you don't like something, it just rubs right off. Also when you are done carving, the ability to rub off any additional marker makes the pumpkin look a lot neater. We are just going to draw a Jack O' Lantern face on here with our marker. I am going to start with some triangle eyes, because that's sort of what a Jack O' Lanterns are supposed to have. May be a nose in here, one thing I like about pumpkin carving is you don't have to be very good at it. So don't worry about what you are drawing, just have fun. So now I am going to draw a mouth you know usually a Jack O' Lantern has got some sort of triangle teeth. Here are some tips on cutting out the face of the pumpkin. Those pumpkin carving kits they sell in stores really do work well, the tool that especially well is the pumpkin carving tool. You can just saw out the eyes, mouth, any of that area. So there we go, some great Halloween pumpkin carving tips. Happy Halloween!
