Jim Sharifi: When you step inside the Porsche Cayenne, the first thing you'll notice is the plush interior and top-notch materials. Most reviewers find that the interior lives up to the Cayenne's price tag, though some do worry that all the buttons and features could be a bit overwhelming. Let's check it out.

When you first step inside the Porsche Cayenne and check out its interior features you think, wow, there is a lot going on in here. Look at all these buttons on this center stack, but once you get used to it it's actually very intuitive. There is nice soft touch leather up on the dash and the steering wheel, which is big and chunky and sort of is reminiscent of Porsche's racing influence.

And down here you have got climate controls that are adjustable for both driver and passenger. Below that is the suspension settings. Our Cayenne is equipped with an adjustable air suspension and then up here you have got the brains of the whole operation, which is the navigation system that can get you anywhere you need to go and is relatively intuitive. It also includes of course an AM/FM radio, CD player, satellite radio and iPod control.

But just because the Cayenne has all this going on in the center stack, doesn't mean that you have to take your eyes off the road to use it. The gauge cluster has a customizable display that futures vehicle information, audio controls, navigation and Bluetooth control for your cell phone.

The Cayenne's upscale yet sporty appointments do an excellent job of upholding the Porsche name. While the base Cayenne doesn't come loaded with all the bells and whistles, there are some nice features, such as a leather trimmed power adjustable seats, a refrigerated glove compartment and a 12 speaker stereo system.
