Chris Komar: New Yorkers may take some of the local landmarks for granted, but you might be surprised to know there is one tour spot that's got the hardest ticket to score in town.

No, it's not on Broadway or the Yankee Stadium, it's the Statue of Liberty. You can take a ferry overpass Ellis Island any day to stand at the base, but to get into the exclusive lady Liberty's crown there is a two-month waiting list.

Only a few select groups of 30 people are allowed up the narrow, winding stairs each day to get a bird's-eye view of the city and surrounding boroughs.

Reservations are required, so call 1-877-LADY-TIX, or go online to statuecruises.

com. Choose the option that best suits your schedule and interests. If you're looking for a way up you better act fast, because the Statue of Liberty will be closed for security upgrades starting some time in fall 2011, meaning no visitors will be allowed in the crown, base, or pedestal for up to 12 months. This lucky one was able to get up to the crown today.

Female Speaker: Looked to the crown today, it was a lot of fun, had a good time. Didn't know the stairs were so tight, but it was fun. You have to go downstairs to the pedestal and look out of Manhattan and Brooklyn so I've really enjoyed it. You have to book really, really early.

Chris Komar: Although the viewing room inside the crown is small, the view sure doesn't disappoint.

Female Speaker: Straight out on Brooklyn, far left was Manhattan, and then you could see the tablet in one hand and her arm was up a little bit higher.

Chris Komar: To top it all off, it's a Lady's 125th Anniversary. Guess she deserves a vacation. This is Chris Komar reporting from New York.
