Diana Nguyen: It's a dog's world in Chicago, especially when it comes to finding a dog park for your beta four-legged friend.

Scott Maesel: We have one of the largest dog-friendly areas in the city. It's about 6,000 square feet. As you can see, it's a lot of concrete, it's got a water feature to it and it's slanted in a number of different spots and really just the fact that there's kind of a really long dog run that they can really roam around and have fun.

Diana Nguyen: About a 15-minute drive away in the downtown area is Grant Bark Park.

Pamela Foclia: Grant Park was meant to be a refuge for the people that work and live in the city. So it only makes sense that there is an area for their dogs to go as well.

Kate Currin: Here one of the things that we have and others don't have is an amazing skyline view.

Pamela Foclia: A lot of people don't even realize it's here. It's almost like a hidden gem.

Diana Nguyen: And for another neighborhood spot there is Churchill Park.

Jennifer Hack: It's a smaller park. You're going to see a lot of the same people that live in the neighborhood. That's one of the good things about it is you do see some of the same dogs. It's not too crowded or too busy during the daytime.

Diana Nguyen: For its maintenance, Wrigleyville's Challenger Bark Park would be an ideal place for dogs who prefer smaller gatherings. But for the dog who wants the ultimate Chicago park experience?

Scott Maesel: I like going to the lake. I'd probably take them somewhere like Montrose Beach and somewhere of that nature.

Kate Currin: Yeah, we would go to the beaches, because these guys, they really like us to throw things.

Jennifer Hack: I love Montrose Dog Beach. It's a great, huge area, the dogs can swim. My dogs really enjoy swimming. It's a good mix of people-dogs and it's a beautiful place in Chicago to sit on the beach with your dog.
