Fitness Expert John Basedow shows you how to set up your home gym so you can stay in shape all through winter.
Transcripts
John Basedow: Hey guys! I am John Basedow. You know winter is coming and what does that mean. Well, for most of us, it's extra clothes, stopping exercise and packing on the pounds and then trying to get back in shape for the summer time. However, we are not bears, we don't need to hibernate. What human should do is take their fitness program from outside inside and it's pretty simple.
All you basically need is a set of adjustable dumbbells. You can see I am going very, very light here. These can actually be made from 10 or even less pounds up to 50 pounds each and an adjustable bench so you can do various exercises. This one goes from flat to incline right here and pretty much anything you do in the gym can be done right at home.
You could do your alternative bicep curls or it's just simply some military press moves, shoulder raises right here and if you want to get fancy you could put one down for the triceps and do the French press.
What's so great about this set up is it basically doesn't take up much space at all. You can put it away in a closet or in your basement but it will help you stick with your fitness program all winter long. Remember, you are not a bear. You will be a sweetly defined race horse all through the winter and then rocking the beach body by summer.
