Sherry Tyra: What better way to capture the cozy feeling of the harvest season in your home than by incorporating touches of autumn into your dcor. It can be easy and inexpensive if you follow a few of my tricks. Here I've simply placed a wicker horn on a serving tray and filled it with colorful gourds and mini pumpkins to create a beautiful cornucopia. Glue dots allow you to securely hold the gourds in place while giving the appearance they're spilling out onto the platter. Hollowed out pumpkins and squash also make perfect candle holders. Create a holiday work of art around your fireplace with some garlands, a basket of pinecones and some Indian corn. And don't forget the best part of fall; crisp apples, pumpkin pie, and yummy spice sense instantly capture the harvest time of year. Scented pine cones, oil diffusers, candles or even adding clove-studded oranges to a standard fruit bowl will add a subtle scent to your space. For a quick burst of fragrance, boil cinnamon sticks and cloves on your stovetop to fill your home with delicious aromas. Adding your few simple touches throughout your home can be easy and inexpensive, combined they truly capture the essence of this wonderful season. Harvest blessings to you all.
