Transcripts
Kristy Kalnitzky: Hi! I'm Kristy with Duck Brand Duct Tape and now I'm going to show you how to make a tri-fold wallet.
This is an intermediate craft that should take about 30 minutes to make. For this project you will use Duck Brand Duct Tape, nonstick scissors and a ruler. But today I'm going to use my cutting board than has measurements on it.
The first step I'm going to take a length of Duct Tape about 10 inches long and lay it flat with the sticky side up. I'm now going to make five more pieces of this and stack them upon top of each other to make a Duck Tape fabric.
So now I have the completed sheet and as you can see I overlap some of the sides so I could connect to the five pieces together. So we are going to repeat the step to the same exact thing. So now we have out two completed Duct Tape sheets and we have one sticky side up and I'm going to connect the two to make my double sided Duck Tape fabric.
And I actually took some scissors and just cleaned up the ends. And we are going to take the piece and fold it in half like that and I also ripped a piece of Duct Tape in half that's lengthwise of this piece and these are going to be the edges of your trifold wallet. So I'm going to secure both ends with the half of this Duct Tape and I'll do the same thing on the other side. So I have both sides of the trifold wallet secured with tape.
And the top here is looking unfinished, so I just took another strip of tape that is lengthwise, ripped in half and I'm going to put half of the tape inside of the wallet and then fold over to the upside of the wallet just like that, so it's a little bit cleaner and I'm going to do the same exact thing on the other side.
Next, we are going to add the pockets for the inside of the trifold wallet. So what I already have done is taken a piece of Duct Tape fabric and cut out 33 inch squares. So take two of the squares and lay them up on top closest to the opening of the wallet.
And then I'm going to just tape them down with another strip of tape and then take the other two squares and put them right underneath the top ones that you've already taped down.
Again, I'm going to secure this with a piece of Duct Tape just along in the bottom of the squares and now I will tape the sides down also. And the final piece you need to tape down is just right along the middle. So now that you have the credit card pieces all secured you're going to fold the wallet into third. And that's how you make a trifold wallet.
