3 Tricks To Conquer Food Cravings
Fitness expert John Basedow shares his tips for conquering those annoying cravings.

John Basedow: Cravings are killer, they can get the best of you causing you to cheat and ruin the hard work you have putted on your body. The best way to avoid them is by having four to six small balanced natural meals throughout the day. Once you've begun following this nutrition plan if craving still come a calling, I have a few little tricks that I use regularly to keep cheating your ridges at day.
First have lots of crunchy vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots around whenever you get that cheating feeling. Bulky fibrous vegetables are unbelievably filling and nutrient dense, but they are exceeding low in calories.
Next, keep sugar-free jell-o on hand to avoid late night binges, jell-o is tasty, fun to eat, and almost devoid of calories; bonus, splurging on the entire box adds only a minor 40 calories to your daily plan.
Don't forget to drink water, 75% of the time we think that we are hungry we are actually dehydrated. Have a glass of water at the first sign of a craving, another good alternative is hot water with lemon, this helps with digestion so it's a double benefit.
My final trick involves sugar-free gum. Sometimes under stressful days you just get the urge to chew something even when you are not necessarily hungry. At this time a stick of gum works wonders to get your mind off cheating.
Keep one or all of these items around and the next time you want to cheat you won't cave to your cravings.
