Transcripts
Dr. Tina Alster: Hi, I am Dr. Tina Alster with the Washington Institute of Dermatologic Laser Surgery. Today I am going to talk to your about the delicate skin around the eye area. As you know with advancing age comes advancing wrinkles around the eyes which are related to chronic sun damage and also thinning of the tissue around the delicate eye area. In addition, puffiness can occur around the eyes. It's important that we take care of the eye area with a good skin care regimen. I like to advice the use of creams that contain a certain amount of retinols, antioxidants and peptides so that new collagens which are the building blocks of your skin can be enhanced and placed in these areas and therefore your can minimize the appearance of the fine lines and wrinkles. If you take care of the skin around your eyes, you will be rewarded by looking a little bit more restful and more beautiful.
