Hi, I am Josh Dubois and I have been a professional bartender for five years. I have apprenticed under a career bartender in New York City and I have worked in a all sorts of bars upscale, and really high volume college bars and today, we re going to be talking about vodka drinks.
We are going to show you how to make Vodka Martinis. We are going to show you how to make White Russians, a Vodka Collins, a Colorado Bulldog, a Cosmopolitan, a Crantini, a Gimlet, a Long Island Ice Tea, a Screwdriver, a Sea Breeze, and a Bay Breeze, Sex On The Beach, a Kamikaze, a woo woo, and we are going to show you how to make a delicious Bloody Mary.
Now, vodka came about as early as the 12th century from Russia and Poland, and it s made from the molasses or rye or potatoes and vodka became popular in the United States when the servicemen returned home from World War II with tones and tones and tones of the stuff from Russia.
Now vodka is the charcoal filtered drink, which means that they use the charcoal filtering process to take out most of the firey taste of that alcohol. Sine it does this, it become a mixologist s dream. There is an old saying that says, that vodka can do anything that gin can do, but it tastes better, and we are going to show you that today.
Now always remember, when working with alcohol, to always be a responsible drinker, to never be drinking if you are bartending and to always, always, always have a sober driver and never drink and drive.
