Josh Dubois: Hi, I am Josh Dubois; today we re making Vodka drinks and right now we re going to show you how to make a Water Melon Martini. Now, the first thing you are going to want to do is, you want to take a martini glass and chill it, you going to want to fill it to the top with ice and you want to do this, the very first step. Just so that it gets nice and cold by the time you re done making your drink.
Next, you are going to want to take a shaker glass and fill that with ice as well as you are going to be chilling this drink by shaking it. So next, you are going to use watermelon schnapps and vodka. You are going to want to put one and one half ounce of vodka in, is about a three count. You are going to put one ounce of melon schnapps in, to two count.
You are also going to want to put in one-and-a-half ounces of cranberry juice, so you fill this about three quarters of the way and one-and-a-half ounces of pineapple juice, again three quarters of the way full. Pour that in there. Then you are going to take your shaker tin, put it on top, make sure it s on there, well, flip it over, give it a really-really really good shake, really shake it and now this drink can be garnished with a water melon slice. If you re doing it at like a barbeque or a party, you probably want to spring for the water melon and garnish it with the water melon.
But most of the times, you are definitely not going to have water melon around, so you don t have to garnish with the water melon. Dump out your chilled glass, take your cup and strain it into the Martini glass. It s got the nice froth on the top there and you could garnish it with a lime, if you want or a water melon, either one and that s how you make a Water Melon Martini. Next we going to make a Butter Scotch Apple Martini.
