Andy Corno: Hi! My name is Andy Corno with Leaders Lacrosse Camps, Clinics and Private Lessons, currently a professional lacrosse player for the Philadelphia Barrage. I started playing lacrosse when I was in 8th grade, which is pretty late to pick up a sport, played baseball in my entire life before I started playing lacrosse.
The encouraging part about this sport I think any young player can take away from this video, is that it doesn't take too much to get a lot better. I was very lucky to have a wall at house so that I threw against every single when I came home from school. Practiced, practiced and practiced until my lacrosse stick skills were finally there and ready to play at that next level.
Lacrosse has done a lot of great things to me. It allowed me to travel to different parts of the country and even to other parts of the world. I always had a great deal of respect for this game because of what it provided for me. Collage coaches, premier coaches out there always talked about honoring the game and playing with character. I think that these coaches talk about that because of the strong history in the sport of the lacrosse. It started with our Native Americans. They played this game to prepare for battle. So when you pick up your first lacrosse stick and play the game for the first time, play with honor and character and most of all, have fun and enjoy this lacrosse game. Thank you.
