David Guas: Hi! I am David Guas with Damgoodsweet Consulting Group in the Washington, D.
C. Area. We are talking about spooky Halloween cupcakes. We have already produced our spider cupcakes and now we are going to talk about our ghostly cupcakes. In this case, we have the same chocolate cupcake batter that is already been baked and completely cooled, using the same vanilla frosting which is store bought, also the chocolate frosting. We take and we make a chocolate topping for our cupcake that will act as some background for when we add our ghost. Once your chocolate frosting is completely covering the cupcake, we will cut a slit in the top of the cupcake, about an inch wide. Now, taking some nutter butter cookies, we will add some of our vanilla frosting, this will be our ghost.
You see we only have to do one side, but you can also do the other side as well if you choose to, and again, you only have to decorate about the top half because you are going to insert it into the chocolate cupcake. Once you have covered the nutter butter cookie, we will go ahead and use some decorative icing black frosting to make our fun spooky face. Once that is complete, go ahead and insert into the cupcake and give it a slight angle to give it a fun effect and there is our ghostly cupcake. Enjoy.
