Hello, I am Anne Wilterdink Morgan with Color and Image Insight, and I am showing you how to choose the best eyeglasses for you. Right now, I am showing you how to choose the best sunglasses. So, in choosing your sunglasses, you can usually have a little bit more fun. Sunglasses rarely have to be as conservative as regular glasses and if you dont require prescription sunglasses, then they dont cost very much and you can afford to change them often. So, this is the time to have fun playing with different shapes, different colors, different personality, styles, you can go movie star, glamorous, or very sporty, however you want. Lots of fun colors, fun details, mirrored looks, its wide open. Definitely, you want to go a little bit larger with your sunglasses because you want to protect your eyes from the sun as much as possible.
Now, when you come to talking about lens colors, its very similar to when you are choosing your frame colors as we discussed in the beginning. You want to choose colors that are going to be flattering with your skin tone and are going to harmonize with your wardrobe and your palette. Now, I generally prefer to go with a classic gray because it tends to give you a true color as opposed to some of these others, which change the way you see your world, but if you would like to look at the world with rose-colored glasses, why not. So, in Terrys case, for example, because her coloring is warmer, something with a green or brown lens is particularly flattering and in this case, we have a green frame with brown lens, perfect.
Remember that the color of lens or the darkness of the lens doesnt necessarily have anything to do with the protection it gives. For that, you want to look at a 100% UV protection. Sunglasses can even look apparently clear or very light in color, not so dark and still have that full protection. So, thats how to choose your best sunglasses. Next, we are going to show you how to put it altogether and select the best glasses at your opticians office.
