Paula Ross: Hi! I am Paula and I am from Andys Parties. Today we are telling how to throw a terrific Halloween party for your kids and their friends at your home.

Right now, we are going to talk about invitations. There are several invitation options out there to invite your kids friends to your house for a great party. You can go to the party store and you can pick out any number of paper invitations and those are great to fill in, specially, if you are going to mail. What I am going to talk about today, if you are planning to hand out your invitation, there are some really cool things you can do. Especially, to get your kids involved. One of my favorite is actually using a pumpkin. Pumpkins are around in abundance this time of the year. So, what I have done with this pumpkin is I have written all of the details for my daughters Halloween party on the pumpkin. Halloween costume party at Annas House, October 31st and the time and my phone number of RSVP. If you plan to go this route, remember you have to use a Sharpie or a paint pen on pumpkins. Washable markers, Felt Tip pens, they will rub right off but a Sharpie or a paint pen wont. Then you get your kids involved. Give them some Halloween stickers or some paint pens of their own, if they are old enough and have them decorate the pumpkins, with all of those materials. I get the stickers off here, so, they have made it a little of their own, so all of their friends can come. And then when they go to school and hand out their invitations, they are going to give everybody their little pumpkin to take home. Now if you dont want to go route to pumpkin, and you want to get something a little more practical to the kids, you could always use their treat bucket. And you can write all of the details on back of pumpkin treat bucket and hand them out to all the kids and let them know that they need to bring their treat buckets back to the party to collect all of their goodies. If you are planning to mail your invitations and you want something a little more creative, use a treat sack. A big Halloween treat sack that the kids can take trick-or-treating. We like this one because its metallic and it shines, its very reflective and so its a safety element to trick-or-treating. Put a blank white sticker on back and put all of your details on that party and then you could fold it up very nicely, like this and flip it in an envelope and mail it just as would a regular package.

Today we have covered some interesting and creative ideas to make some simple invitations and next we are going to talk about party food.
