I am Carrey Nalls. I am at Nalls Produce in Franconia, Virginia. Today we are showing a little bit about how to carve pumpkins. We have shown you how to do the first one here, which is a typical, put a candle in it and light it up Jack-O'-Lantern. We are going to do one that is a little bit different now. The pumpkin s already been cleaned out and I am ready to go to work. First thing I want to do, is cut some eyes, mouth and the ears in it. So here we go, starting with the eye, this one is a little bit different, we have got it out. Now, this pumpkin is different and we are going to save this, we got to use this to go back. So, we ve taken the pumpkin that we carved out of it and we ve cut the skin off of it and now I am going to show you how to use this in a minute to put this back together. See that fits there, so we are going to lay this piece here and we are going to use the part that we took off as our pattern to hopefully get them to come out somewhat alike. This is probably the trickiest part for this kind of pumpkin and it s more important on this part right here than any other part that the knife has, the blade has some flexibility.

Here we have got the eye marked and we are going to try and carve right around here, so we can make it look somewhat alike. Let s see, how close we are with it. This one goes here, this one goes here, so you can see we ve got -- our eyes are marked out and now we go to the next step with it. But what I am going to do; the eyes are going to go here. I am going to take typical flat black spray paint. I am going to spray over the parts that I cut out, and while it s drying, I am going to work on some other parts on the pumpkin. You can see that the eyes are already out? Now we are going to cut the mouth, which is pretty easy. You can see that, now we are going to go the ears. Just like on the earlier pumpkin, I am going to use these back on this one, so I ve trimmed it down. The ears look like they somewhat match up, so that will make -- putting the rest of it back together just little easier. Now, you can see that the pumpkin is carved out, as far as our actual carving on the pumpkin, this is all I am going to do, the rest of it is, just put it back together.
