    Very Creative!
What a creative way to carve and decorate a pumpkin. The pumpkin has so much more personality than the typical carved pumpkin.

I am Carrey Nalls; we are at Nalls Produce in Franconia, Virginia and we are carving -- we are doing a fruit stand pumpkin. We have used different vegetables, put this together so far. You ve got the pumpkin, you ve got the pepper for tongue, you have got turnips for teeth, eggplants for eyelashes, butternut squash for a nose, limes for eyes and leek roots for eyebrows. Now, we will see what we can finish it off with. First thing we are going to use is two carrots; see what we can do with these. With that part, we will fix its ears, now this part -- okay. Now, it s basically just about different colors or textures or anything you can add to it. It should have a goatee maybe. These are just cornhusks, these were an afterthought. For hair, we are going to use this. We are just going to give it a kind of a wild and natural look and something like that, and there it is. It s pumpkin, everything on there is natural, the straw that s hair, everything, except the nails and the paint. You have carrots for horns, leek roots for eyebrows, butternut squash for the nose, eggplant skin for eyelashes, turnips for teeth, red pepper for tongue, cornhusks for goatee and grapes for earrings. The shelf life on this pumpkin if you carve it and put it at 70 degrees, it s probably three to four days. So, it s going to keep for two weeks. The same with one that would carve like the earlier one that you had put a candle in, that s probably a four day shelf life on that is about what you would have, but this is just my way of doing something a little bit different.
