Host: Should guest bring there gifts to the wedding?
Christina Taylor: No never. Guests should never bring gifts to the wedding, I don't think any longer. Really when you bring a gift to a wedding you are putting a burden on someone that the bride and groom know, either the bride and groom or their family to carry those gifts home. So while it is a nice gesture to bring a gift you should definitely sent a gift and you have actually a year to send a gift to the bride and groom that's the current etiquette policy. But what I recommend is sending the gift via mail, having the store that you purchased it from, just go ahead and ship it. That way you have no worry that the gift got there, you don't have to worry about taking an extra step and going to the post office. I really think that they should sent it to the bride and groom directly, that way you are not having someone from the bridal party packing up their car at the end of the night taking the gift somewhere to hold them while the bride and groom have gone to honeymoon, then when they come back and they pick up the gift later, it's really an added burden.
