Host: Who should conduct my wedding?
Christina Taylor: That's a really personal question, for the bride and groom to decide. I have done Jewish weddings, Christian weddings, catholic weddings and they all vary depending on what they are looking to do. A lot of times this is a wedding where you have two denominations coming together. They might want to have a representative from each religion at the wedding. Some weddings that are completely not religious whatsoever might just want have an officiant do the wedding. There is also a fee associated with them as well and depending on the person who is the officiant or the church or the facility or the synagogue they might have separate fees for the people how actually perform the ceremony. So you want to be aware of that and ask for that information as well. I have seen really nice weddings where both a Christian and Jewish version came together and they had a Rabbi and a officiant at the wedding and it was a very nice event where they got to see both sides of how a wedding is performed.
