Host: How should I plan my rehearsal dinner?

Christina Taylor: Rehearsal dinner again traditionally is done and paid for by the groom's family and again it can be cost-effective to do it at a home. A lot of times people will go and they will do a lavish event and it will be competitive with the wedding. So I recommend staying away from that because you don't want to have a night before that really at all competes with the wedding day. You want that to be the grand occasion. I have seen very nice rehearsal dinners that have been catered but done at a home. If you have someone either a family member or your even your own home where you have the space and capability to be able to do that just keep in mind the burden of having catering done in a home the night before a wedding you want to make sure that you have covered all your bases as far as clean up and that kind of thing is concerned because it can be a huge undertaking.
