It does save you a lot of money, I have had a lot of friends who have photographer friends, videographer friends and they have hired them for the event and they have been able to save them a lot of money. You also you want be aware of their work. Even though they are your friends, they might not be the best at what they do and so you want to make sure to see maybe a portfolio that they have or some photo that they have taken and be aware of the quality because if you miss the opportunity to have great pictures or video at your wedding, there is really no going back. You would have to re-plan the entire event and redo the whole day. So it is important to make sure that if those keepsake memories are important to you that you choose the right person for the job.
