Franklin Taggart is a guitarist, singer/songwriter, recording engineer and record producer based in Silver Spring, MD. He's played guitar since 1975 and has been involved in some aspect of performing, recording and composing ever since then. He also is a well known guitar teacher in the Washington, DC area. He has been nominated for many WAMMIE awards from the Washington Area Music Association, winning the Traditional Folk Instrumentalist category in 2001. His first CD Falling All the Way has received excellent reviews from a variety of sources and was also nominated for seven WAMMIE's.

Franklin Taggart: Hi, I am Franklin Taggart with the Steep Learning Curve Experiment. I am here today to show you a little bit about How to set up a Home Recording Studio. I have been doing home recording now for nearly 25 years. It is something that I enjoy very much and it is something that is very easy to do. There are some decisions that need to be made at the beginning that can make your whole experience a lot easier and that is what I am here to tell you today. So, what you all need to do is just pay some attention to the different components that we look through today and we will be getting ready to get you started on doing home recording on your own computer. The technology now is such that you can do a lot in a very small space with just a computer and a few other hardware accessories. You can have more power than was ever available to The Beatles or to the big rock bands of the 60s and 70s. So, go ahead and come on in and take a look at How to set up a Home Recording Studio.
