The Wong People Kung Fu Association is a group dedicated to the practice and maintaining the integrity of Kung Fu. The Wong People are a succession of a Kung Fu lineage based on the Jow Ga Kung Fu style. The head teacher for this group is Raymond Wong.

Raymond Wong has been studying Jow Ga Kung Fu since he was a young teen and is still studying the same style in hopes to achieve mastery one day. The Wong People are a widely known entity in the US Kung Fu community. The Wong People are advocators of keeping government and commercialization away from Kung Fu. The Wong People's position on Kung Fu is not based entertainment or sports, but education. Kung Fu education is a lifetime study as well as a life style. Experimenting with Kung Fu on the Internet and video can be entertaining, but to seriously learn seek a qualified Kung Fu teacher.

Martial Arts - Kung Fu Blocking Movements

Blocking in Motion are performed from the horse stance the feet are usually almost twice shoulder width apart and the knees are positioned 90-degrees (like square box) while the hands are held at the first ribcage. Block by extending the right hand (fingers open) motion out with bent wrist toward the right shoulder. Stop the right hand motion above shoulder level with a bent elbow tucked inline with the arm while your head is looking over your right shoulder. Block for this purpose is use to deflect and divert full impact punches away from the head area. When Blocking with the right hand hold the left hand palms up at the first ribcage on the left side, and then when blocking with left hand hold the right hand palms up at the first ribcage on the right side. Repeat this exercise for 30 to 60 seconds or as necessary for the right side to develop blocking proficiency as needed, and then repeat this exercise using the left side. Use alternate blocking from the right side to the left side for 30 to 60 seconds and then repeat this exercise as necessary to develop blocking proficiency with both sides.

The next thing hell do is, will focus on moving while blocking. He will do half step. He will block from the side to the left and out to the right. Left and right.

First thing the person will do is strike, half step, strike and from there, he blocks up, blocks down, grab around and strike.

Other side, half step up, strike, punches, block, block up, block down, grab around and strike.

Again, this drill should be done at least from 30-60 seconds.

Again, he turns the other side, blocks down, blocks up, grab around, half step, strike.

Then lastly for the other side, strike, block down, block up, grab around, half step and strike and up.

Again, we do not recommend that you learn kung-fu from a video to prevent injuries; we highly recommend that you learn kung-fu from a qualified instructor.
