Host: What do I do if I am interested in seeing my date again?

Gloria MacDonald: So let's say, you have been out on that first meeting, you have met the person for the very first time and gosh! You think it went well and maybe, you didn't know how it went, what do you do?

Well, there are different things for men and women. If you are a woman, I highly, highly recommend if you are at all interested in seeing this man again, you absolutely need to let him know in no uncertain terms that the door is wide open and that he can call you. So maybe, if you are a bit of a chicken, you want to leave him a voice mail message at home in the middle of the work day when you know he is not there and you can just leave him a voice mail message and say something simple like, I really enjoyed meeting you. Thanks so much for the coffee. Please feel free to call me anytime. I would love to see you again.

It just leaves the door wide open. You are not asking him out on a date, but you are letting him know in no uncertain terms that you are interested in seeing him again. Because men are self-conscious and they have insecurities just like we women do and I think, so often, we as women feel like men don't have any insecurities. I think we totally underestimate that and we expect the man to call us. Well, you know what, if you are really serious about wanting to find that great guy, let him know that you are interested in seeing him again and he can call you. Men, if you are really interested in her, then women are going to sit around and wait for you to call. I really encourage women again, to let you know whether it is through via that voice mail message in the phone call or women, send an e-mail. Again, another really simple way, you don't have to face rejection, you can send the man an e-mail and say, I really enjoyed meeting you. It was a really fun time. Thanks so much for the coffee. So men, again, the women will generally wait around and wait for you to call or e-mail them. So if you are interested, I know it means sticking your neck out on the line, but it is something you have got to do. You have got to be willing to move out of your comfort zone a little bit more and stick your neck out on the line and most women are going to be really flattered even if she is not necessarily interested in seeing you another time. They are going to be really flattered that you were at least interested enough in her to ask her out a second time. If you are not so sure, again, for the guy, you can leave her a voice mail message at her home in the middle of the day if you have her home phone number and you know she is at work and you can just say, I really enjoyed meeting you. If you are at all interested in getting together again, let me know. I would be happy to see you again, or send her an e-mail because sometimes, it is easier. You don't have to face rejection, but for both men and women, get out there, you have got to be willing to stick your neck out on the line and let the other person know what you are thinking and that you would be interested in seeing them again.
