Host: Are there professionals who can help my child with a learning disability?
Dr. Jack Naglieri: If your child has a learning disability, it s very important that you spend time finding professionals in your area who specialize in working with children with learning disabilities. That may mean, finding teachers who specialize in teaching children with learning disabilities. Private tutoring might mean, schools psychologist or a psychologist or other educators who works specifically with the kinds of problems that children with learning disabilities have, ensuring that the school is providing the services that the child needs to be successful, but it is very much a task that requires parents to look for people with specific expertise in this particular area.
