So, what about chemistry?
There is no denying that all of us are looking for that chemistry, that spark, that romance and there has to be attraction for a romantic relationship to develop. That attraction isn t always there instantly and the problem with this attraction is that let s say you meet an absolutely drop dead gorgeous man or woman and you think this is the person of your dreams.
Well, when you do have that chemistry, the body starts to create a whole concoction of what we call love-drugs and those love-drugs kick in at different phases over a period of say, 12 to 24 months and it doesn t matter how drop dead gorgeous that man or woman is. After 12 to 24 months, those love drugs will be gone and then you are left with the real person.
So, we really have to get to know who the real person is hopefully, before all the love-drugs kick, die out. But this is part of human nature and Mother Nature gave us these love-drugs, so that the species could continue to procreate because without all this chemistry and attraction, we wouldn t mate. So, Mother Nature is working with us, for us, so that we can continue to have the species but at the same time, those love-drugs can lead us astray just on the surface level of the person being gorgeous and attractive and everything else. So, it is important to understand where we are coming from and yes, chemistry and attraction is important. It has to be there, but when emotions are high, intelligence is low and most of us get carried away with our emotions and we sometimes make some decisions that aren t based on the most intelligent information. So, one person said to me, Getting married or getting engaged when we are madly in love is like deciding to buy a house when you are falling down drunk. Unfortunately, it is the way it works for us but the more we are aware of it, the more we can help ourselves through this whole process.
