What is the first key value for compatibility?

There are twelve key values and traits for compatibility that we have come up with, that we have really tracked through couples and seeing that the more are people have in common in these areas, the more lasting, happy, fulfilling relationships they form. The first one is one we have already talked about introversion versus extroversion. This is an area where opposites do really tend to attract. Lots and lots of introverts tell me when I interview them that they are really looking for an extrovert. They find that it is really helpful to have somebody that s opposite to what they are to really to help to draw them out.

Extroverts don t say they are looking for introverts but extroverts don t mind having an introvert because it gives the extrovert more freedom to be expressing themselves and the introvert can be there quietly kind of, supporting in and maybe more in the background. So, that s one area where it seems to really work in terms of having opposites.
