Rob Kingsbury: Hi! I am Rob Kingsbury with Kingsbury Chocolates and today we re making the perfect cup of hot chocolate. To get started we need to heat up our milk. So I am going to go ahead and put a bunch of milk in the pot to start with and then I ll go ahead and I ll do individual portions from just the hot milk that we re using. So, go ahead and make sure you turn this on to about medium heat. You don t want to scold it, you just want to make sure it warms up and make sure throughout the process that you give it a little stirring around that to make sure that it s not cooking to the bottom of the pan. Hot chocolate real easy just two ingredients, and if you ve got milk and chocolate shavings. You can use whatever type of the chocolate you want in this white milk or dark, bittersweets up to you. I am using a nice semi-sweet today which I think is a nice standard of hot chocolate for most people that enjoy.

After we whipped this together I am also going to show you how to make a pistachios and lavender infused hot chocolate as well as the chipotle and cinnamon infused. All right, so in couple of more minutes we will put the chocolate together as soon as the milk is heated up. Okay so our milk is at that temperature. What I am going to do is just make individual portions, you could just make a big fat of this if you wanted for everyone but I just want to break it down and show you what you can do for just your own personal enjoyment.

I have 12 ounce mugs. So what I am going to do is I am going to put 12 ounces of milk here in my measuring cup, and 12 ounces is a-cup-and-a-half, and also I am using whole milk for this but you can use a any kind of milk that you want, you use skimmed, fat free, 1%, 2% and even soy milk. Actually with the soy milk -- soy milk, in general, tends to be a little bit sweeter. So, I think personally using a more bitter chocolate would be better with soy milk just to offset that sweetness a little than using like a milk chocolate or a white chocolate.

So, for the 12 ounces of milk I am putting in there. I am actually adding in a cup of a chocolate shavings and for you at home a whisk is great is easy way to do this because every body has a whisk in their jar but you can also use a hand immersion blender which is a electric device, and then you can put it in there and it will do the same process. But what you want to do is you just want to whisk this together so you get a nice spongy top and then pour it in your cup, and we re going to top it with some whipped cream. That looks so good, and then what I d like to do is just add a little whipped cream to it. Delicious, sprinkle it with a couple chocolate shavings. I am going to enjoy a delicious cup of hot chocolate but next we are going to be doing lavender and pistachios infused hot chocolate. So don t go away.
