Hi, I am Richard Wolf, bowling ball technician here for basic bowling instruction. We have gone over a few things, now we are headed towards the push away. Let us get started here.
Starting on that center dot again, fingers first then the thumb, majority of the ball weight being held with the opposing hand, we have got that ball to nice belt level. Now the shape of the push away should look something like this. Get started, it should come out slightly just below or slightly right in line with the belt level and get started like so. Simple guideline to remember, once I find my starting reference point again, is the left foot and the hand or elbow start at the same time. So, it looks like this.
Now, one of the confusing parts about this is sometimes, we have a tendency to over extend this motion and or just let it drop. You are going to find some things here that are going to be individual. This is just simply a guideline for you to get started. For example, you will see a lot of bowlers they may hold the ball down lower and or higher. You can bowl very well doing that but this is a solid foundation and the start of bowling well is have that ball in here.
We are discussing a four step delivery. Everything is based of a four steps. You can take six steps, you can take seven, eight. However, the ball beginning into motion is still on this step which is the four step delivery. Now, I am going to try this shot out to see how it works.
Holding the weight, the right hand, ball belt level, foot and the left heels starting at the same time, see if it works. Wow! It worked. Does not have to like that all the time but I myself l started the same way you are took some of these basic fundamentals and utilized them and every once in while, things like that will happen hopefully, more often than not.
So, I hope you have enjoyed it. Good luck, good bowling.
