What is intuition?

Will Maney: The definition that we use for intuition is and I believe it comes from ancient Greek and if that is not true, then I guess will get some responses to this, but intuition for me, for us is the memory that we carry within our soul. Now, it is a trickier thing because first of all we don t even know what mind looks like. We can not measure it we can not lay it.

So, the idea of there being a soul is even more out there, but for most people the idea of this spark of divine nobility, this eternal spark of something. The memory of that is tugged away very safely, somewhere within the mind, within all of us. So, for me intuition is that memory. Now, that is the core essence of it, just like the ripple on a pond or the rings of an onion, as it goes out it has different effects.

So, for us intuition is intangible, it is a very settle, it is a good direct perception and these are the ways that we talk about it in our day to day life. So, we use intuition as a pathway to bring us back to that original memory and sometimes I refer it to as the forbidden memory because in the realm of that memory is everything that we care about and that is where our true piece lies.

So it is the memory within that component tugged away so safely. That is the only thing that I care about. If we begin to think of life as a -- I don t wanted to say game but I do not want to make light of it, if someone listening to this is struggling right now and I would never wanted to belittle their process and I mean that from the depth of my heart, but all too often we take it so seriously and if we could think of this as a very gentle reminding, it does not have to be like this.

There is something wrong, there is something wrong that is correct. It does not have to be like this, it can be another way, how? I do not know. Choose differently, choose once again, choose what? Choose the meaning that you give and those are the things that we work with over and over and over again. So, intuition is perhaps many things, but intuition ultimately at least for the likes of us, is the memory that we carry, the original memory that we carry of being home and I mean home, home, home.
