Host: What is a No Load Fund?

David Morotta: A No Load Fund is a fund that does not charge any sales charge. Usually these are sold by the mutual fund companies. Sometimes they are through fee only financial planners, sometimes you can buy your investment broker or custodian and they will usually have a list of no transaction, no load mutual funds.

No Load Mutual Funds also have to have very low what s called 12b-1 fees, 12b-1 fee is have to be under 0.

25%. A loaded fund might have a 12b-1 fee that s 1% or more.
